Mourinho's team was defeated by Sevilla F.C. by 2-1 in the second leg after the draw 0-0 in the first leg. Two goals of Wissam Ben Yedder in five minutes in the second half finished with the english team. After this Manchester United tried to react with a goal by Romelu Lukaku but it was not enough to achieve the win. Mourinhos team did not show their best version being exceeded by the spanish team in all areas. Sevilla F.C. was just winner of the play off of Round of 16 as they even deserved more in the first leg match but could not pass the tie. Mourinho has been very critisiced after this defeating as apart from that, they have no options to win the Premier league with sixteen points less than their oponent Manchester City.

Manchester City defeated Basel in their play offs of the Round of 16. The english team was very superior to the swiss team. The Citicens came to the second leg with a favorable result (0-4) over his oponent. Although Basel won 1-2 over Pep Guardiola's team, it was not enough to overcome them, and the global result was 5-2. They are in a great season, they are first in the Premier League with sixteen points over Manchester United, have won the EFL Cup and have real options to win the UEFA Champions League. They are one of the most feared teams in Europe in the draw of quarter finals. Gabriel Jesús scored in the 7 minute before being recovered with two goals of Basel.

Jürgen Klopp's team defeated Porto in their play off of the Round of 16. They passed thank to the five goals they scored in the first leg as the match in the second leg ended up in draw to 0. Both teams had a quiet match as the play off was sentenced and Porto knew they were eliminated. It was an easy play off for them as players are much better. We will see on Friday which team Liverpool faces in the quarter finals. They are in a very good moment and could compete to play a good role in the competition, and is together with F.C.Barcelona the only team unbeaten in this season Campions League.

Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League's Player of the Month of February award for a second time this season after maintaining his sensational scoring form. The egyptian is living his best career season and has became in Liverpool´s most important player. Salah, who also reached this prize in November, has scored four times in the last three matches last month and provided two assists. His strikes have tightened Liverpool to the fourth position in the Premier League so as to be able to qualify for the next season Champions League. He has also reached Harry Kane as top scorers with twenty four goal, and could even overcome him as the english striker will not compete until the next month because of injurie. With the same goals as Leo Messi, he could fight for the european Golden Shoe.

Álvaro was not confortable at Real Madrid. He did not have the minutes he would like and wanted to show the good striker he is in London. He had a brilliant beginning scoring several goals and managed to settle as Chelsea's first striker. Everything has changed since then. Last time he scored was on December 26 and he hasn't managed to score in 2018. Since then Morata has been declining little by little to the point that is now a substitute. Agüero opened the scoreboard and "Citicens" continued taking advantage of the bad defense of Arsenal. Kompany scored the second goal and spanish David Silva scored the third and last goal. The match became more difficult for Arsenal when Monreal had to leave the game injured, being substituted by Kolasinac.
